Greenish gold. Interesting savoury undertow on honeysuckle aromas. Rich start on the palate and real weight yet indubitably refreshing Viognier with a bit of dried apricot. Long and complex. Pretty alcoholic, mind you. Reasonably tight-knit. (JR)

The front-end loaded 2003 Viognier reveals tremendous reserves of honeysuckle, peaches, and apricots, medium body, good acidity, and no evidence of wood, although it was fermented and matured in old French barrels and foudres. Importer: Negociants, USA, Napa, CA; tel. (707) 259-0993
