Tasting notes
Sexy, ripe aromas of smoke and flowers. Fat, rich, ripe and sweet, but with sound acidity and solid underlying minerality giving shape to the marzipan and spice flavors. This is a deep, tactile, complex wine with a very long, rather powerful finish. As firm as it is today, its sweetness is already apparent. But I'd hold off for at least a few years.

Very attractive succulent nose of spiced honey and lemon. And the slightest floral hint. Dense, far reaching fruit and very long. Mouthwateringly clean finish. Excellent. (JH)
(this was the last to finish its malolactic fermentation, just three weeks before I tasted it) Cooler, more reticent nose shows more minerality than the foregoing samples. Then higher-pitched, spicy and penetrating in the mouth, with lovely ripe acidity framing the sweet flavors of peach and nectarine. This is a relatively rich 13.7% alcohol.
