Showing nicely, the 2009 Château Bouscaut reveals a still youthful ruby hue as well as abundant red and black currant fruits, a touch of chocolate, green tobacco, and that classic Graves damp earth and cold fireplace-like character, medium-bodied richness, and an elegant, fully mature style that's a joy to drink. It's not going to get any better but should evolve nicely for another decade.

55% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% Sémillon. Very deep gold. Peachy, pungent lanolin and still hanging on in there – but very much of the style. Round and rewarding but I don’t think I’d keep it much longer. Great to have a mature white bordeaux. Long. (JR)
Very dark purple. Sweet and rich and a little dry on the finish. Not quite enough in the middle but it's attention grabbing! Juicy purple fruit. (JR)
