Score 89-92/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound
A discreet touch of oak sets off more elegant aromas of kirsch, sandalwood, anise and clove plus enough earth to remind you that you're very much in Nuits. There is good richness but also fine detail to the firm and serious yet refined flavors that offer a well-integrated tannic spine on the mouth coating finish. This is not quite as complex as the Pruliers, or at least it isn't at present, but the length is every bit as good. Tasted: Jan 14, 2013. Drink: 2019+
