Tasting notes
Peppery spice and very fresh fruit predominate on the nose. This is juicy and concentrated in the mouth. There is some oak influence here though plenty of fruit to back it up. This has some punch and is very impressive again.

Good dark red. Enticing aromas of strawberry and rose petal. Sweet, round and seamless, with lovely spicy, floral lift to the red fruit flavors. Underlying minerality energizes the middle palate and contributes to the impression of structure on the long aftertaste. Tannins are smooth. A lovely showing, and delicious already.
About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
