From the Perse empire, this light, fruity, bistro-styled, picnic wine is pleasant, soft, and round, but it lacks character as well as concentration. Consume it over the next few years.

Moderately saturated medium red. Red plum and redcurrant aromas, along with a peppery element. Juicy and on the lean side, with the peppery character following through on the palate. A wine of limited nuance, finishing with dusty tannins.

(the blend includes 30% cabernets sauvignon and franc) Red-ruby. Cool aromas of cherry, licorice and mint. Fresh, leanish and peppery, with nicely delineated flavors of red berries, licorice and minerals. Offers modest flesh and sweetness but good life in the mouth.
