Score 92/100 · Robert Parker
A spectacular wine made by the owners of nearby and better-known Chateau Chasse-Spleen, this is a seriously endowed, dense, full-bodied wine made from an equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Oodles of black fruits, licorice, truffle and new saddle leather are present as well as some toasty oak. Full-bodied, deep, pure and exceptionally long in the mouth, this is a major overachiever that should drink nicely for 10-15+ years. A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc. Drink: 2013 - 2028. Wine Advocate #205 Feb 2013
