Score 91-94/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Very good red-ruby color. Superripe, slightly reduced aromas of roasted red fruits, earth and roasted game. Creamy, dense and sweet but with lovely vinosity giving the flavors shape and lift. Finishes juicy, sweetly oaky and long. Potel's Clos de Beze was raw and awkward in November, and distinctly high-toned; I'll try to follow up on this wine from bottle.
