From an old vineyard with up to 105-year-old vines, the 2012 Wiltinger Riesling Alte Reben is a textbook Saar Riesling. Displaying fresh aromas of limes and lemon confiture along with flinty flavors on the nose, this intense, precise, well-concentrated, racy, piquant and rather lean and mineral-flavored Riesling tastes almost dry and salty. It is very long and elegant; a grand cru sailing under the village label.
