Tasting notes
Score 86/100 · Drink 2003-2015, Robert Parker, Feb 1997

Since bottling, the 1994 Larmande has shut down, and it may under-perform my initial judgment. The wine exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, a tight, oaky, subdued nose, and a sweet, impressive entry, but hard, bitter tannin distracts from an otherwise attractive, medium to full-bodied, muscular effort. Atypically for Larmande, patience will be a valued asset with this wine. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2015.
