Tasting notes
A pretty, nuanced wine, the 2005 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is all about detail. Crushed flowers meld into licorice, new leather, licorice, cinnamon and dark berries. The 2005 is layered and finely sculpted all the way through to the finish. Early appeal is the signature of this vintage.

Zenato's 2005 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a rich, powerful wine. Not for the timid, this massively constituted Amarone offers up sweet red cherries, leather, tobacco, tar and spices, all of which flow through to the long finish. Despite the wine's impressive concentration, a measure of elegance seems missing in this vintage.
