1972 Amarone della Valpolicella

Here is another vintage from the early 1970s that maintains a concentrated and extracted style that I guess you could say was a sign of the times. The Bertani 1972 Amarone della Valpolicella shows aromas of candied cherry, dried apricot, sweet orange and hints of chocolate or hazelnut liqueur. The wine certainly makes a bigger impact in terms of mouthfeel, but its texture is very satisfying from a tactile and textural point of view.
