Tasting notes
Offering up notes of red berries, coniferous forest floor and a subtly cedary framing of new wood, the 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques is medium to full-bodied, bright and elegant, with a crystalline core of fruit, fine-grained, powdery tannins and the bright acids that reliably distinguish this high-altitude but southerly exposed site.

Rich and full and very sweet. Though also with racy acidity. This works very well! Very vivacious. Pure Gevrey. (JR)
About the producer

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
