Relatively light, slightly raw nose. The acidity stands out. Quite stringy. One of the few wines where there didn't seem to be quite enough fruit weight. (JR)

Medium red-ruby color. Black cherry and licorice on the nose, with an herbal nuance. Silky, dense and fine-grained, with black fruit flavors lifted by a violet note. Finishes with building, dusty, rather sweet tannins and lovely persistence. Still a bit tight but this has style.
