Tasting notes
Bright red-ruby. Explosive aromas of black cherry, licorice and violet. Lush and sweet, but with almost magical cut and precision to the intense black fruit, licorice and violet flavors. Boasts an exhilarating combination of acids and tannins, and a firm rocky underpinning. Really stains the palate with vibrant black fruit flavors.

Only 900 bottles produced. Appealing and delicate aromas of fresh yet spiced red fruit, with subtle vanilla oak overlay. Fresh and elegant on the palate. Lingering subtle finish. Very well balanced. (JH)
(60-year-old vines; 40% vendange entier Bright, deep ruby-red. Pungent but reticent aromas of blackberry and spices. Rich, juicy and vibrant, with a small-berry intensity of flavor and a pronounced spice character. This really stains the palate. Boasts impressive volume, but today this is even more backward than the Poissenot, finishing with a very firm tannic spine.
