Open, ready to drink, fleshy and enjoyable, great value for money. Brambled black fruits with redcurrant and pomegranate freshness running through, plenty of dark spice and melted tannins. Hard not to say that this is just a great drinking wine, ready to enjoy.

Starting to show some maturity, the 2009 Château Lilian Ladouys has wonderful darker currant fruits interwoven with plenty of sappy herbs, flowers, chocolate, and earth. With still a kiss of spicy oak, it's medium to full-bodied and has a rounded, opulent texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Enjoy this satisfying, balanced Saint-Estèphe over the coming decade or so.

This is very ripe with toffee, spice, truffles, and chocolate, as well as ripe-fruit and meat character on the nose and palate. Full body, soft tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink or hold.
