Score 87/100 · Drink 2001-2009, Robert Parker, Apr 2001
A dark ruby/purple color accompanies sweet aromatics of pure black cherries as well as currants intertwined with smoky oak. This medium to full-bodied, fleshy, fruit-driven, velvety-textured effort will offer considerable appeal over the next 7-8 years.

Good ruby-red. Fruit-driven aromas of cassis and raspberry. Supple and spicy in the mouth, with the berry flavors nicely framed by ripe acids. Finishes with a firm tannic spine and good length.
