Tasting notes
The 1983 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Gold Capsule is clear, very elegant and subtly intense on the nose. Fresh and lithe on the palate, this is a gorgeous, highly stimulating and salty Sonnenuhr with good grip and mineral tension on the finish. Still young and ageless. Tasted in June 2019.

Green gold. Full and racy. Still quite a bit of carbon dioxide. Racy. Some sweetness. Acidity has retreated. Pretty wine now. (JR)
