Tasted blind. Greyish crimson. Only just enough ripeness on the nose. Very fresh fruit and just slightly pinched on the end. Very much needs food – and possibly a bit more fruit weight. Short. (JR)

Proprietor Claire Villers-Lurton administers this Pauillac classified-growth property. The 2012 reveals good, sweet tannin, blackcurrant fruit, a nice, soft underbelly, medium to full body, and outstanding concentration and purity. This property is always somewhat under the radar, but this is a very strong effort and should drink well for up to 20 years.

Smells warm and spicy, and tastes particularly spicy. Rounded fruit but chewy tannins. A bit too stereotypically 'masculine'. Slighty austere. (JH)
