Some berry fruit, but rather short and diluted, with a slightly herbal edge. Somewhat disappointing. Drink now through 2004. 14,165 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2002.

Full red-ruby. Cassis and licorice on the nose, plus a slight green note of currant leaf. Juicy and fairly intensely flavored but with the leafy nuance repeating. Chunky tannins are a bit tough for the wine's middle-palate material. Finishing note of licorice.
