The 2008 Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon gives a deep garnet-purple color and aromas of ripe cassis, black currant cordial, dark chocolate, black truffles and black olives. Deep ruby with a bright rim. Seductive, perfumed aromas of dark berries, mocha and pungent flowers and herbs. Spicy, deeply pitched blackcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are lifted by tangy minerals and take on a smoky nuance with air. Finishes with gentle grip and very good persistence, leaving a bitter chocolate quality behind. This bottling has a fine track record for aging.
