Full bodied with a good amount of muscular fruit, it has a firm level of chewy tannins, very crisp acidity and a long, ripe cassis laced finish. Drink it now to 2018+. Deep ruby with a bright rim. Seductive, perfumed aromas of dark berries, mocha and pungent flowers and herbs. Spicy, deeply pitched blackcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are lifted by tangy minerals and take on a smoky nuance with air. Finishes with gentle grip and very good persistence, leaving a bitter chocolate quality behind. This bottling has a fine track record for aging.
