Tasting notes
Full medium ruby. Deep, brooding, sappy aromas of black raspberry, maraschino cherry, dark chocolate, menthol and pepper. A huge, creamy, seamless wine with remarkably deep flavors of black fruits and minerals and nothing cooked about it. Wonderfully dense, broad wine that offers exceptional palate coverage. Finishes with outstanding length and noble, superfine tannins. The yield here was reportedly less than eight hectoliters per hectare. .

Bright ruby-red. Cassis, raspberry, violet, fresh herbs and smoky oak on the nose, with an exotic suggestion of apricot. Then juicy, highly concentrated and tightly wound, with very pure fruit flavors framed by penetrating acidity. Doesn't offer the fleshiness or sheer size of past riper vintages but this is pure, structured and built to age. And the tannins are fine and sweet. Both this and the Dofi will be bottled with alcohol under 14%, which is quite modest for Priorat wine.
