Intense and concentrated, deep dark fruits, with the power that comes from the higher clay content in the soils compared to its neighbouring pure Asteries limestone neighbours. A great moment to dirink, fine tannins, powerful but not shouting about it, plenty of black cherry and damson fruit flavours.

Tasted blind. Maturing rim on blackish ruby. Dramatic oaking and a big thick mouthful of dense fruit. Stolid. Pretty chewy end and not much lift. (JR)

About the producer
The Chanel group – owners of Ch. Rauzan-Ségla and Ch. Canon – added Berliquet to their stable of wine estates in 2017. Since then, the team – led by Nicolas Audebert – has been transforming the property, gradually revealing this special Saint-Emilion site’s potential.
