Plenty of berry, raspberry and fruit aromas. Medium-bodied, with velvety tannins, a medium to light finish. Very good second label of Château Montrose. Drink now or hold. 6,600 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1998.

Ripe black cherries and some caramel oak on the nose; offers a sweaty cabernet note. Stylish and flavorful; this has lovely shape and freshness, as well as personality. Again, a rather easygoing wine, but really lingers on the palate.
