Score 90/100 · Drink 1999-2029, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

The 1989 La Dame de Montrose is drinking brilliantly in its gutsy, old-school style, bursting with aromas of rich, leathery, ripe dark berry fruit mingled with notions of loamy soil and licorice. It is medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with an open, expansive profile and sweet, powdery tannins.
