Score 93/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound, Apr 2003
When I sampled this from cask in February of 2002, it was awkward and troubled and I deferred judgment. Happily, this was the correct decision as the wine has indeed righted itself and its true colors are now evident as it is spicy, intense and aromatically dramatic followed by ripe, powerful, sweet, perfumed flavors and stunning length. This is extremely impressive and especially so for the vintage.
