Score 84-86/100 · Drink 2013-2021, Robert Parker, May 2011

A straightforward, rustic, coarse Pomerol, the 2010 Plince exhibits a deep plum/ruby color and good fruit on the attack, but the wine’s rustic character is problematic. It should drink well for 10+ years.

Dark purplish crimson. Rich and quite exotically perfumed. Intense. But very firm on the finish. Marked tannins. Is there quite enough fruit in the middle here? Pretty astringent finish for the moment. (JR)

Plince 2010 has lifted flavours of spices, cinnamon, plums and blackberries with firm acidity and tannins. It has a gorgeous palate and body - enveloping and rich without heaviness. A very successful Plince that will evolve well for at least a decade or two. Jeannie Cho Lee MW asianpalate.com
