Tasting notes
The 1998 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges is drinking very well today, unfurling in the glass with a complex bouquet of orange rind, sweet red berries, forest floor and grilled game. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, its melting tannins framing a lively, vibrant core of fruit, its finish long and sapid. A bottle that illustrates the truth that great domaines and great vineyards often get the better of challenging vintages.

Deep red-ruby. Perfumed, complex aromas of black cherry, red berries and minerals. Juicy, sweet and detailed in the mouth, with a chewy, layered texture; offers noteworthy volume without excess weight. Very suave and supple on the long finish, with substantial but thoroughly ripe tannins that really spread out on the palate.
