Tasting notes
Mid to dark crimson. Exciting array of complex flavours on the nose – bonfires! Definitely worth the premium over Azelia. Great integrity. Concentrated crimson colour and concentrated flavour too. Lots of life and fruit. Great tension. (JR)

Bright ruby-red. Black cherry, licorice and violet on the nose. Juicy, sappy and very fresh, with excellent intensity to the primary crushed fruit flavors. Quite dense for 2010 dolcetto. This wine has been done entirely in stainless steel since the 2009 vintage.
The 2010 Langhe Dolcetto Visadi is a big, powerful wine bursting with dark varietal fruit, smoke and tar, all supported by clean mineral notes that give the with energy and length. I especially like the voluptuous finish. This is a fabulous entry-level red from one of Barolo's icons.
The 2010 Langhe Dolcetto Visadì is a big, powerful wine bursting with dark varietal fruit, smoke and tar, all supported by clean mineral notes that give the wine energy and length. I especially like the voluptuous finish. This is a fabulous entry-level red from one of Barolo’s icons. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014. Readers who want to enjoy a bottle from Domenico Clerico without breaking the bank will delight in these three new releases. While perhaps somewhat counterintuitive, one of the things I value most in a grower is the quality of the entry-level offerings. These wines will please even the most demanding of palates.
