Tasting notes
A hint of wood frames incredibly powerful, rich and expressive aromas of marvelous breadth and this is undoubtedly the most aromatically complex wine of the entire range. However, as complex and fine as the nose is, the massive flavors offer phenomenal punch, purity and simply phenomenal size and richness plus the fabulous level of dry extract gives this a chewy, rather textured palate feel. A complete wine of superb power that will require at least a decade to be at its best and one that finishes with a distinct note of Mandarin orange extract. Jul 2006, www.burghound.com, Drink: 2014+
