Tasting notes
A highly complex nose reflects a hint of tropical fruit along with a panoply of freshly cut orchard fruit, spice and lovely floral notes that merges into rich, rich, powerful and notably full-bodied flavors that possess impressive power and this too is possessed of abundant extract levels that culminate in a tightly focused, linear and superbly vibrant finish that is slightly mentholated. While I wouldn't call this a massive wine, it's no stretch to say that it's seriously concentrated and built for the long haul.

Good pale yellow. Pure, elegant aromas of lemon and minerals. Sweet, dense and suave; already conveying a strong personality. A classic, impeccably balanced Montrachet that's thick and solid but not heavy, and quite firm without seeming hard. Perfectly integrated acids leaven the wine's enticing sweetness. I find this a lot easier to taste today than the brooding 2005. This wonderfully suave Montrachet has terrific potential.
