Medium red. Aromatic nose of smoky cherry, raspberry, coffee bean and underbrush, lifted by herbs. Smooth on entry, then moderately dense but bound-up in the middle, with some dusty and herbal notes and a restrained sweetness. Finishes with slightly dry tannins and a repeating suggestion of coffee bean. .

The sweet red fruit-scented 2003 Pinot Noir Reserve is a simple, well-fashioned wine with attractive red cherry and blackberry flavors. Light to medium-bodied and softly-textured, it should be consumed over the next 2 years. Importer: Winesellers, Ltd., Skokie, IL; tel. (847) 679-0121
