Good bright medium red. Higher-pitched aromas of black raspberry, violet and minerals. Displays more energy and spice character in the mouth than the Chambolle, along with a floral scent and a distinctly lighter touch. No shortage of acidity for the vintage.

Bottled, unusually, early November 2008. They harvested from 29 August to 16 September – it took three weeks for 6.5 ha...! Rather occluded nose. Dry finish. Not very harmonious at the moment. Drying. (JR)
