Lightish, wide brick rim. Now this wine has some interesting development on the nose – some bottle-aged tertiary character at last! Very lively mineral subtext to this wine. Light and lively with excellent balance. This one dances on the palate. Some real sweetness. No hurry to drink, so long as you don’t want a blockbuster, as there is still a little tannin, but I can’t quite see what you’d be waiting for. (JR)

This is a pleasant, delicate, medium ruby-colored wine with emaciated, under-whelming dried herb and sweet cherry fruit notes. Drink this medium-bodied effort over the next 4-5 years. Apr 2000, www.robertparker.com
