Score 87/100 · Robert Parker
The 2001 Shiraz RWT reveals an attractive dense ruby/purple-tinged color as well as an earthy, plum, cherry, and peppery-scented bouquet, medium to full body, and slightly intrusive acidity. The fruit and weight are such that the acidity is only a minor annoyance as opposed to dominating the wine’s character and compressing its texture. While acceptable, it could have been a lot better. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Robert Parker, Oct 2004
