Score 91/100 · Drink 2015, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Oct 2015
Medium-deep garnet-brick in color the 1997 RWT Shiraz has an expressive meaty and gamey nose with smoked bacon, yeast extract and hints of dried mulberries and figs. Medium-bodied, it is fresh, has soft and powdery tannins and finishes long. It has peaked but is still holding up.
