Tasting notes
The 2009 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru, from young vines in Echézeaux, is shaping up beautifully. Freshly cut flowers, red berries and mint come together in the glass. As good as the 1er Cru is today, my sense is that the wine is starting to shut down in the bottle. Ideally the 2009 needs to be cellared for at least a few more years, but there is plenty of pedigree.

The 2009 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru(from young vines in Echézeaux) is dark and sensual. It shows terrific richness in its dark raspberries, sweet spices and minerals. Sweet, silky tannins frame the polished finish. This is a wine of impeccable elegance and sheer sexiness.
