Well-mannered, not explosive, nose. Medium weight and everything in its place. Neat but not attention-grabbing. Clean and chalky on the end. No sign it will fall off its perch in a hurry. The opposite of showy. (JR)
(still in cuve ): Bright pale yellow. Very ripe, subtle aromas of lemon, orange and stone. Sweet, fine-grained and energetic, combining a creamy, sun-drenched character with excellent inner-mouth lift. Orange and mineral flavors saturate the palate on the very long, strong finish. A great Saint Aubin in the making.
The 2009 St. Aubin En Remilly is all grace and elegance. All of the elements come together beautifully in the glass in this refined white. Sweet floral notes are woven throughout a fabric of nearly indescribable class. This is a fabulous, impeccable wine from start to finish.
