Tasting notes
The 2008 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly has an attractive bouquet with scents of white peach, apple blossom and hints of orange peel. The palate is well balanced with a pleasant fatness on the entry matched by a keen line of acidity, quite precise with fresh pear and Granny Smiths, lightly honeyed on the finish and perhaps just missing a little precision here. Otherwise, this is fine although, I feel that it peaked a couple of years ago. Tasted at Sarah Marsh's 2008 White Burgundy tasting.

Some toasty, lip-smacking evolution on the nose – much more than most. And then still crackling acidity, plus some richness, on the palate. A very alluring whole! Fresh, but developing and rewarding weight. (JR)
Rich green-fruit aromas. Full and broad and open. Satisfying. Lots of acidity and slightly austere. (JR)
