Round and complex. Lovely freshness. Complete. Subtle and very ripe. GV (JR)

A delicious, elegant, complex sleeper of the vintage, this dense plum, ruby/purple-colored wine offers up floral notes mixed with incense, camphor, blueberries and black currants. It is medium to full-bodied and surprisingly deep for a cru bourgeois. Impressively textured, long and supple in the finish, it is meant to be drunk over the next decade. A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc.

50% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot. Sweet dark fruit with a touch of vanilla, matched on the palate. Seemingly soft though there's plenty of tannin undergirding its apparent roundness. (JH)
