Mid crimson and quite a ripe nose for the vintage. Sweet, not especially tannic, or distinctive, but an easy rendition of modern St-Emilion. Light tannins. Correct. Dry, savoury finish. (JR)

A certain leanness may keep this dark ruby/purple-colored wine’s score subdued, but it does possess an intriguing nose of black currants and mint jelly offered in a medium-bodied, fragrant, moderately-endowed format. Some tannin in the finish needs resolution. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2014

Deep crimson. Sweet, round, relatively simple but certainly ripe on the nose. Dry finish but not excessively so. Rather opulent texture on the mid palate. Clean and fresh. Quite admirable in a way though the sweetness is a little tarty. (JR)
