Deep red. Aromas of raspberry, menthol and rose petal. Supple but nicely delineated and quite stylish. Enters a bit lean, then broadens nicely on the back half. Finishes with fairly strong but ripe tannins and sweet red fruits.

Good deep red, with ruby tinges. High-toned, expressive aromas of plum, licorice, smoked meat and mint. Juicy, firm, even austere, with bright, lively flavors of black cherry and licorice. In the distinctly firm style of the vintage. This will need at least a few years of bottle aging.
