Good dark red. Nicely ripe aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice and spices. Silky-sweet and pliant on the palate, with more stuffing and breadth than the Clos du Fonteny. The flavors of purple fruits and smoked meat are perked up by good vinosity. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and noteworthy persistence.
