Tasting notes
Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 2009

The dense purple-colored 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain exhibits plenty of chalky minerality intermixed with woodsy/forest, sweet cherry and black currant notes, medium body, and a tannic, compact finish. A pleasant discovery during my tastings were these offerings from Diamond Terrace, a property on Diamond Mountain, above the quaint town of Calistoga. They produce two Cabernets, one from a 5-acre site on Diamond Mountain and one from a 7-acre parcel planted on Howell Mountain. Production is under 250 cases for both of these wines, so I will keep my notes brief. One of Napa's leading consultants, Thomas Brown, is the winemaker at Diamond Terrace. Tel.
