Tasting notes
Undeniably impressive and glorious bouquet of violets, black cherry and chocolate. Rich, full-bodied and voluptuous with hefty but ripe tannins.Very, very long, concentrated and elegant – really has that X-factor. 18.6pts/20 - 5 Stars Decanter Magazine April 2011

The Tour-Maillet ‘08 has an attractive nose of dark cherries, cassis and a hint of dark chocolate. Nicely defined and lifted. The palate has a smooth entry, rounded and fleshy, yet there are patently fine tannins here. Very well balanced and focused, this has elegance and a degree of panache on the finely tuned finish. Patently very good Pomerol winemaking here, this comes highly recommended. Tasted December 2010.
A strong effort for this estate, this dense ruby-hued 2008 shows more depth and richness than usual. It should be drinkable during its first decade or life. Apr 2009, www.robertparker.com
