Tasting notes
A strong effort for this estate, this dense ruby-hued 2008 shows more depth and richness than usual. It should be drinkable during its first decade or life.

Undeniably impressive and glorious bouquet of violets, black cherry and chocolate. Rich, full-bodied and voluptuous with hefty but ripe tannins.Very, very long, concentrated and elegant – really has that X-factor. 18.6pts/20 - 5 Stars Decanter Magazine April 2011
The Tour-Maillet ‘08 has an attractive nose of dark cherries, cassis and a hint of dark chocolate. Nicely defined and lifted. The palate has a smooth entry, rounded and fleshy, yet there are patently fine tannins here. Very well balanced and focused, this has elegance and a degree of panache on the finely tuned finish. Patently very good Pomerol winemaking here, this comes highly recommended. Tasted December 2010.
