Score 92/100 · Drink 1992-2002, Robert Parker, Dec 1992
Last Tasted 5/92 The late Renato Ratti produced Barolos meant for drinking at a relatively young age. His 1978 has been fully mature since the mid-eighties. The intense nose of sweet black-cherries, herbs, leather, and cedar is followed by a full-bodied, velvety textured wine that offers a hedonistic and voluptuous tasting experience. The finish is long, sweet, and gentle. This wine should continue to drink well for another decade.
