All Merlot. Gravelly sandy soils. Dark and rich-looking. Big and burly on the nose. Sweet and rich – very flattering yet fresh. Rather simple red fruits. Raw acidity. Very much a second wine.... Pretty angular on the finish. (JR)

About the producer

l'Eglise Clinet
Ch. l'Eglise-Clinet is one of the most unassuming wine estates in Bordeaux. You'd probably drive past it if you didn't have prior knowledge of its vinous output. There's no ostentatious gateway nor sweeping gravel drive.
