Score 90/100 · Drink 2012-2022, Robert Parker, Feb 2012

The 2009 Clos du Jaugueyron (their vineyards sit in the Haut-Medoc appellation) is a sleeper of the vintage and probably the best wine I have tasted from this producer. Coming in at 13.5% alcohol, the blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc resulted in a floral wine with plenty of cassis and incense as well as a hint of subtle forest floor in the background. Deep ruby/purple, medium-bodied, elegant and a classic overachiever for the Haut-Medoc appellation, this wine should drink nicely for a decade or more. Two small boutique wines from this estate in Arsac in southern Graves.

Chewy and rich, with dried fruits and fresh herbs. Full and chewy. Lacks some middle palate
