Tasting notes
The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Perrieres has a lively bouquet that draws you in: hazelnut and smoke at first, with touches of fragrant orange blossom. The palate is clean and fresh with a powerful smoked walnut opening that really gives this 2011 identity and charisma. Very long in the mouth, this is a very fine Meursault that should age a number of years. These wines were tasted with Michel Bardet at the domaine after tasting his 2012s. It includes a mini-vertical of his jewel, the monopole Clos des Perrieres. Importer: several importers including Atherton Wine Imports, Atherton, CA; tel. (650) 328-6639 and Domaine Direct in the UK.
