Tasting notes
The 2009 Meursault Les Tillets offers a light, earthy bouquet with moderate definition. Hints of freshly cut pear and nectarine develop with aeration and are subsequently joined by jasmine. The palate is finely balanced with well-judged acidity. It opens nicely toward the peachy finish, which has plenty of weight, if not the finesse of a top Les Tillets. Drink now-2018.

(30% new oak): Bright yellow. Pure, high-pitched aromas of lime and crushed stone. Juicy and precise, with a firm acid structure to the flavors of lemon, lime and powdered stone. Tactile and chewy but at the same time brisk and penetrating. The long finish stimulates the palate with minerals and lime peel. Very different in style from the sweeter, creamier Clos du Cromin.
Scented. Tight. Very dense and lively. Chewy. Serious stuff. (JR)
